Primary Fish Tanks

The aquaponic water from our 4 blue fish tanks filter through a series of bio-filters (smaller white tanks) that contains the naturally occurring bacteria that works to breaks down the fish effluent into plant soluble nutrients.
Bio-filter Tank: A closer Look

These tanks are filled with media (little wheels) for the micro bacteria to attach themselves to and establish their colony. These bacteria are supplied with oxygen 24/7 to constantly breakdown any ammonia present in the water.
Deep Water Culture (DWC) Troughs

Each of our 6 DWC troughs receive filtered aquaponic water from the fish tanks, and are connected in series with each other, i.e., the water recirculates through each trough. They are all supplied with oxygen via air lines that span the length and width of the trough and equipped with air stones to help dissolve the oxygen into the water more efficiently.
